Baseball Game Preview: Clarenceville Trojans vs. Canton Preparatory Chargers

Clarenceville is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Canton Preparatory a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Saturday. The Clarenceville Trojans will be playing at home against the Canton Preparatory Chargers at 12:00 p.m. Clarenceville will be strutting in after a win while Canton Preparatory will be coming in after a loss.

Clarenceville will bounce into Saturday's game after beating Novi Christian Academy, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. The Trojans walked away with a 10-6 victory over the Warriors on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Trojans considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Meanwhile, Canton Preparatory came up short against Edison Academy on Wednesday, falling 21-1.

Canton Preparatory's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Clarenceville, they moved to 5-15 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Clarenceville couldn't quite finish off Canton Preparatory when the teams last played back in April of 2024 and fell 8-6. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
