Softball Recap: Cuyahoga Falls Comes Up Short

The Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers didn't have quite enough to beat the Coventry Comets on Friday and fell 13-12. Even though they lost, the Black Tigers' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.2 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Madi Davis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ireland Mills, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Cuyahoga Falls' defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Coventry, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cuyahoga Falls will challenge Copley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Black Tigers are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Coventry, they will face off against Ravenna at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
