Volleyball Recap: La Sierra Falls to Aquinas in First Game of Season

La Sierra had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 3-1 to the Aquinas Falcons on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

La Sierra started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-8, 25-22, 25-11.

Aquinas has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. La Sierra will welcome Rancho Verde at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last four games the Mustangs have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Aquinas, they will face off against Grand Terrace at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
