Quaker Valley gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They put the hurt on the Carlynton Cougars with a sharp 14-5 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Quakers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Oscar Roig and Todd Kagle made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Roig pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
