            Softball Recap: Chartiers Valley Colts vs. Hampton Talbots        
        
		
        
        
            The scorekeeper got an easy start  on Wednesday as neither Chartiers Valley nor Hampton made it on the board until the eighth inning. The Colts had just enough and edged out the Talbots  2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Colts also won the last time the pair played  back in May of 2024.

Chartiers Valley has  been performing  well recently as they've  won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Hampton, their loss  ended  a  seven-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 13-4.
 Chartiers Valley didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  contest,  a  6-4  defeat against Canon-McMillan on the 8th. As for Hampton, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Fox Chapel  at 3:45  p.m.  on Friday.
