Basketball Game Preview: Fargo South Bruins vs. Sheyenne Mustangs

Fargo South is 0-10 against Sheyenne since February of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Fargo South Bruins will be playing in front of their home fans against the Sheyenne Mustangs at 7:30 p.m.

Fargo South is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 18th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They were dealt a 76-38 loss at the hands of Horace. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th, while Horace are ranked ninth).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sheyenne). They took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging an 80-45 win over West Fargo. The victory was familiar territory for the Mustangs who have now won three games in a row.

Sheyenne has also been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.6 points per game. As for Fargo South, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-15.
