The Appling Christian Academy Eagles lost against the Peoples Baptist Academy Knights two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Appling Christian Academy was dealt a 63-36 defeat at the hands of the Knights. Appling Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Appling Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: Jaden Drake dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Drake is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 12 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Alex Coursey, who scored three points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.

Appling Christian Academy now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Peoples Baptist Academy, their victory ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Appling Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Heritage Christian Academy is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. As for Peoples Baptist Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Warrior at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
