Softball Game Preview: Southeastern RVT Hawks vs. Diman RVT Bengals

The Southeastern RVT Hawks will take on the Diman RVT Bengals at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Southeastern RVT is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 18 runs last Wednesday, they were much more limited against Archbishop Williams on Friday. They lost 10-2 to the Bishops.

Camrynn Precourt made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Diman RVT's offense. They came up short against Fairhaven on Tuesday, falling 12-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Bengals' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Diman RVT saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Loralei Shields, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Southeastern RVT's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Diman RVT, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Diman RVT's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Southeastern RVT has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.7 hits per game. It's a different story for Diman RVT, though, as they've been averaging 10.7 hits. Given Southeastern RVT's sizable advantage in that area, the Bengals will need to find a way to close that gap.

Southeastern RVT suffered a grim 19-3 defeat to Diman RVT when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
