Volleyball Recap: Crown Point Comes Up Short

Crown Point and Hammond Bishop Noll squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Crown Point had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bulldogs have suffered since April 9th.

Mikelangelo Brutto paced Crown Point's offense, picking up four kills. Brutto got some help from Brayden Schopieray and his six assists. Tys Wiersma controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Crown Point and nudges their season record down to 13-15. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-5.

Crown Point does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hammond Bishop Noll, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Lake Central on the 17th.
