Softball Recap: Letchworth Takes a Loss

Letchworth had lost five straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 3-7 to make it six. They fell just short of the Caledonia-Mumford Raiders by a score of 8-7. That's two games in a row now that the Legends have lost by just one run.

As for Caledonia-Mumford, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games.

For Caledonia-Mumford's part, Mia Wilson was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. What's more, Wilson posted three hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Audrey Padlick-Field was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs.

Looking ahead, Letchworth will host Haverling at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Legends surely won't give up without a fight. As for Caledonia-Mumford, they will venture away from home to take on Perry at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
