Football Game Preview: Bel Air Highlanders vs. Americas Trail Blazers

The Bel Air Highlanders will face off against the Americas Trail Blazers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bel Air has given up an average of 47 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bel Air came up short against Parkland on Friday, falling 42-21. The Highlanders have struggled against the Matadors recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the defeat, Bel Air had strong showings from Bernie Martinez, who rushed for 96 yards and one touchdown, and Marquette Beard, who rushed for 59 yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, Americas came up short against El Dorado on Friday and fell 28-20.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Camron Johnson and Ryan Estrada. Estrada had a great game and rushed for 244 yards and three scores while picking up 12.2 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Johnson was balling out in the loss, rushing for 176 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 12 carries.

Americas' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Bel Air, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-1.

Bel Air was taken down by Americas 42-7 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Highlanders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
