After a string of six wins, Cristo Rey Jesuit's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the De La Salle Meteors. The Cristeros were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Meteors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

While Cristo Rey Jesuit had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20.

Cristo Rey Jesuit's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2-1. As for De La Salle, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Coming up, Cristo Rey Jesuit will head out to challenge Walther Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for De La Salle, they will host Latin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
