The Strawberry Crest Chargers's nine-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Tuesday. They came out on top against Middleton by a score of 57-50. That looming 57-50 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Strawberry Crest yet this season.
Strawberry Crest's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayson Lewis, who scored 15 points along with six assists. That's the first time this season that Lewis scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Cameron Crowe, who scored 17 points along with five assists.
Strawberry Crest's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-8. As for Middleton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Strawberry Crest won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Riverview at 6:30 p.m. on December 13th. Riverview is on a four-game streak of home losses, Strawberry Crest a five-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. As for Middleton, they will head out on the road to face off against Steinbrenner at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Steinbrenner focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday.
