Recap: Lakehill Prep Warriors vs. Yavneh Academy Bulldogs
The Lakehill Prep Warriors lost against the Yavneh Academy Bulldogs back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Lakehill Prep was beaten by Yavneh Academy 65-31. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lakehill Prep in their matchups with Yavneh Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
Yavneh Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lilly Yalovsky, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Daniela Hargrove was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Lakehill Prep dropped their record down to 1-4 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.5 points per game. As for Yavneh Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.
Lakehill Prep will head out on the road to face off against Coram Deo Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Yavneh Academy, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Lucas Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Lucas Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
