Basketball Recap: East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum] Comes Up Short

East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum] was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 70-40 to the Annie Wright Gators, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rivals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-40 last Tuesday.

East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum]'s defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Annie Wright, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum] and Bellevue Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Annie Wright will take on Cascade Christian in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Cascade Christian is on a four-game streak of home wins, Annie Wright a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
