Rossville won the last time they faced Tipton and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hornets blew past the Blue Devils 15-9. Considering the Hornets have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Rossville got a massive performance out of Brielle Layton, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Elliott, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Rossville has been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Tipton, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
