Baseball Game Preview: Hinsdale Central Bobcats vs. Friendship Golden Eagles

Hinsdale Central is on an eight-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Friendship a 14-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Hinsdale Central Bobcats will host the Friendship Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Hinsdale Central duked it out with Genesee Valley on Tuesday. The Bobcats came up short against the Jaguars, falling 16-1.

Hinsdale Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Robert Childs, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Childs has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Friendship's offense. They lost 15-0 to Genesee Valley on Monday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Golden Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Friendship's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Hinsdale Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-13.

Hinsdale Central beat Friendship 21-18 in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
