Recap: Lafayette Rams vs. Smithfield Packers
The Lafayette Rams posted their closest win yet this season on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-51 win over Smithfield. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Lafayette has posted against Smithfield since January 11, 2019.
Lafayette had a senior duo take command as Asa Fehrenbach scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two steals and Jarquez Garrett scored 12 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Garrett has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Harrison, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Lafayette is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Smithfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
Lafayette will be playing in front of their home fans against York at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Smithfield, they will head out on the road to challenge Warhill at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Warhill is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
