Baseball Recap: Purchase Line Gets the Win

Purchase Line hadn't done well against River Valley recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Red Dragons came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 10-5. This was a revenge game for the Red Dragons: when they faced off against the Panthers two weeks ago, they had to take a 11-6 defeat.

The team relied heavily on Christian Moyer, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Caden Cessna, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Purchase Line and bumps their season record up to 6-13. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for River Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

Purchase Line will venture away from home to face off against Blacklick Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. River Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
