Basketball Game Preview: Woodland Wolves vs. Rio Linda Knights

Woodland is on a three-game streak of home losses, Rio Linda a nine-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Woodland Wolves will welcome the Rio Linda Knights at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Last Friday, Woodland was beaten by Natomas 100-26. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 994th, while the Nighthawks are ranked 189th).

Meanwhile, Rio Linda came up short against Sutter on Friday and fell 51-41.

Woodland's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Rio Linda, their loss dropped their record down to 4-21.

Woodland was able to grind out a solid victory over Rio Linda in their previous meeting back in January, winning 64-52. Will Woodland repeat their success, or does Rio Linda have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
