Basketball Recap: Grayson Mayfield's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Eastgate Life Academy over Philadelphia Christian School

Eastgate Life Academy lost against Philadelphia Christian School last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Eastgate Life Academy received a blow as they fell 73-56 to the Philadelphia Christian School Eagles.

Several Eastgate Life Academy players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Grayson Mayfield, who went 8-for-12 on his way to 18 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Mayfield a new career-high in field goal percentage (67%). Another player making a difference was GABE MOODY, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 17 points.

Eastgate Life Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Philadelphia Christian School, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.
