Soccer Game Preview: St. Augustine vs. Brookhaven Academy

After a short break, it's finally time for some more action. St. Augustine will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Brookhaven Academy Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Augustine is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Canton. St. Augustine sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Canton back in October.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Brookhaven Academy faced off against Delta Streets Academy two weeks ago. The Cougars came out on top against the Lions by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for Brookhaven Academy.

They hit Delta Streets Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kade Roberts, Ryder Hill, and Reeves Lindley.

St. Augustine got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 against Brookhaven Academy by a conclusive 8-1 score. Will St. Augustine repeat their success, or does Brookhaven Academy has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
