Baseball Recap: Meridian Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Meridian came into Tuesday's matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Lakewood Cougars 13-2 on Tuesday. The contest marked the Trojans' most dominant victory of the season.

Trevyn Crabtree was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lincoln Brzozowski, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs.

Meridian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meridian's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Lakewood, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
