Basketball Recap: North Gem Piles Up the Points Against Clark County

There's no place like home for North Gem, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Clark County Bobcats 57-26. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cowboys considering their 19-point performance the matchup before.

North Gem got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Craig Yost out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine assists. With that strong performance, Yost is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Ryver Hayden, who went 10 for 16 on his way to 20 points and eight boards.

Yost wasn't the only one working in the assists department: North Gem was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

North Gem's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Clark County, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

North Gem has already played their next contest, a 59-49 defeat against Sho-Ban on the 18th. As for Clark County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 76-53 loss against Challis on the 18th.
