Baseball Recap: Pleasant Triumphs

Pleasant's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They never let the Ridgedale Rockets get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. Considering the Spartans' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Avery Hamper was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and four runs. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Collin Caudill was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.

The win got Pleasant back to even at 2-2. As for Ridgedale, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pleasant will face off against Kenton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ridgedale, they will challenge Upper Scioto Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The contest will give the Rockets their first taste of in-conference action this season.
