Baseball Recap: Blue Ridge Comes Up Short

If Blue Ridge was riding high fresh off their 8-1 takedown of Front Royal HomeSchool on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jays fell just short of the NOVA HomeSchool Lions by a score of 6-5 on Friday. The Jays have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Hudson Slye was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Blue Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 19-8. As for NOVA HomeSchool, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Blue Ridge nor NOVA HomeSchool have any future games scheduled.
