Volleyball Recap: Dakota Comes Up Short

Dakota lost against L'Anse Creuse North back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 3-2.

Dakota actually scored more points across those five sets (103-95), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 19-25, 25-19, 11-25, 15-11.

Leading L'Anse Creuse North to victory were O'Connor Aubrey and Morgan Janowski. Aubrey had five aces and four digs, while Janowski had 14 kills and 14 digs. Janowski has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 15 times she's played.

Dakota dropped their record down to 2-7-1 with the loss, which was their third straight at home. As for L'Anse Creuse North, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

After both having extra time off, Dakota and Troy will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for L'Anse Creuse North, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Utica on the 11th.
