Softball Game Preview: High Tech SD Storm vs. Hoover Cardinals

The High Tech SD Storm will head out to square off against the Hoover Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. High Tech SD has given up an average of 9.1 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

High Tech SD came up short against La Jolla on Wednesday, falling 13-4. The Storm have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Alexa Aranda made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those doubles were her first of the season. Imani Woolfolk was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Hoover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 18-5 to Kearny.

Priscilla Lopez was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

High Tech SD now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Hoover, their loss dropped their record down to 4-16.

Everything went High Tech SD's way against Hoover in their previous meeting back in April, as High Tech SD made off with a 15-4 victory. Will the Storm repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
