Softball Game Preview: Chamberlain Cubs vs. Mobridge-Pollock Tigers

Chamberlain is 0-3 against Mobridge-Pollock since April of 2024 but things could change on Thursday. The Cubs will head out on the road to take on the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Chamberlain has given up an average of 15.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Chamberlain is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 24th straight game dating back to last season on Tuesday. They came up short against Winner, falling 18-3.

Claire Knecht was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jovie Vandenbosch, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Mobridge-Pollock took on Deuel on Tuesday. The Tigers took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals.

Mobridge-Pollock now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Chamberlain, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Chamberlain suffered a grim 16-1 defeat to Mobridge-Pollock in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Cubs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
