Sebring won against Lake Placid last Friday with six runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Blue Streaks won by a run and slipped past the Central Cobras 6-5. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Streaks sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

The team relied heavily on Ricky Perez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nate Arnan, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Sebring's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Central, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sebring will host Clewiston at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Blue Streaks 1.8, the Tigers 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Central, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Sebastian River at 3:30 p.m. The Cobras are facing the Sharks at the right time seeing as the Sharks are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
