Softball Recap: Moore Haven Gets the Win

Glades Day typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday Moore Haven proved too difficult a challenge. They had just enough and edged out the Gators 7-6. The Terriers haven't had any issues with the Gators recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Truley Osceola was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Brooklyn Sergent was another key player, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Moore Haven was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matchups.

Moore Haven's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Glades Day, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-2 record.

Coming up, Moore Haven will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Avon Park at 7:30 p.m. As for Glades Day, they will venture away from home to take on Master's Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Gators will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
