York got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jillian Holland out in front who had 14 digs, 11 kills, and four aces. Holland has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 19 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Isabella Parrotta, who had seven digs and two aces.
Meanwhile, Washington Academy faced Greely in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Raiders put the hurt on the Rangers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Rangers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Washington Academy was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-17, 25-16.
Washington Academy's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for York, their win bumped their record up to an identical 15-1.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Saturday's contest: York has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 13.4 aces per game. However, it's not like Washington Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 18.2 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
