Volleyball Recap: Coastal Christian Snags 12th Victory in Last 14 Games

Coastal Christian posted their closest win since August 16th on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Cabrillo Conquistadores 2-1.

Coastal Christian found their leader in freshman Kaitlyn Starkovich, who had 13 digs. Those 13 digs set a new season-high mark for Starkovich.

Cabrillo's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marie Terrones, who had 15 digs. Madelyn Musselwhite also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Coastal Christian is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Cabrillo, they now have a losing record of 12-13-1.

Coastal Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 victory against Templeton on the 27th. As for Cabrillo, they have also already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Sanger West on the 27th.
