Volleyball Recap: Fulton Takes a Loss

Fulton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Hallsville Indians, falling 3-0. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Indians when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Fulton was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-14, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Fulton still got an impressive performance from Bre Knighten, who had 22 digs, 11 kills, two aces, and one block. Knighten is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in each of the last four games she's played. Estella Vanschenkhof was another key player, getting 21 assists and five digs.

Fulton's loss dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Hallsville, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9-1.

Fulton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Hannibal on the 16th. As for Hallsville, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Southern Boone on the 16th.
