Softball Recap: Walton Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Walton can now relate to. They lost 8-1 to the North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers on Wednesday. The Braves haven't had much luck with the Buccaneers recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Walton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mackenzie Peels, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Walton's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for North Bay Haven Academy, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 22-3.

Walton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Bay Haven Academy, they will challenge Bozeman at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Buccaneers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bucks have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season.
