Baseball Game Preview: Liberty Union Lions vs. Berne Union Rockets

The Liberty Union Lions are taking a road trip to face off against the Berne Union Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Liberty Union came up short against Sheridan on Saturday, falling 13-3.

Liberty Union saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cam Wood, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, Berne Union entered their tilt with Wellington School on Saturday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 6-1.

Berne Union pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Liberty Union, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-10.

Liberty Union beat Berne Union 4-0 in their previous meeting back in April. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rockets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
