St. Louis University suffered a letdown when it was bounced from the state Top 25 this week after a 42-14 loss to St. Louis University. The Junior Bills had been ranked 23rd, but fell to 27 following the defeat.

Christian Brothers extended the longest winning streak in Metro Catholic this week by beating Vianney, 54-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.

Christian Brothers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyler Creath threw for 181 and three touchdowns and Aarion Penton had 64 yards receiving. On the ground Jonathan Parker chipped in 121 yards. Kyron Norman helped Christian Brothers' passing attack out by catching two balls for 40 yards.

Christian Brothers' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cadets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Creath has thrown for 1022 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Penton has 23 catches for 365 yards. Parker leads the league in rushing with 348 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when St. Louis University takes on DeSmet Jesuit. As it stands, Gary Kornfeld's team is in second, while the Spartans are in third.

Scott Pingel's team led Metro Catholic in scoring this week after putting up 54 points on the Golden Griffins. Creath in the win.
