Preview: Indian Trail Hawks vs. Kenosha Tremper Trojans
Indian Trail is 2-8 against Kenosha Tremper since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Indian Trail Hawks will head out on the road to challenge the Kenosha Tremper Trojans at 4:30 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Indian Trail gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They breezed by Racine Park on the road to the tune of 78-44. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Indian Trail has posted since December 19, 2023.
Meanwhile, Kenosha Tremper had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past Racine Horlick, posting a 63-29 victory at home. Given Kenosha Tremper's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 132nd, while Racine Horlick is ranked 394th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Indian Trail's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Kenosha Tremper, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Indian Trail came up short against Kenosha Tremper in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 47-42. Can Indian Trail avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
