Baseball Recap: Fort Thomas Takes a Loss

Fort Thomas was the 7-6 winner over Joseph City when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Apaches fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Apaches have lost by exactly two runs.

Fort Thomas' defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Joseph City, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8.

Looking ahead, Fort Thomas will host St. David at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Apaches' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Joseph City, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 15-0 loss against San Tan Foothills on the 11th.
