Watertown won against Monterey  on Wednesday with 12  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Friday. The Purple Tigers blew past the Wildcats 12-2. Considering the Purple Tigers have won 12 matchups by more than seven  runs this season, Friday's  blowout was nothing new.
The team  relied heavily on  Harlie Phillips, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  home run and five  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Drew Pryor, who  went 2-for-3 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
 Watertown  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  strikeout total in three consecutive  contests.
Watertown is  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Monterey,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 17-11-1.
 Watertown didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  match,  a  5-4  win against Trousdale County on the 12th. Monterey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
