Softball Preview: Franklin Monroe Jets vs. Marion Local Flyers

Things were looking good for Franklin Monroe after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Houston by a score of 5-4.

Keihl Johnson was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she struck out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in four consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Olivia Sease was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Lila Davis was another key contributor, going 3-for-4 with an RBI.
