Basketball Recap: Stayton's Winning Streak Snapped at Six Games

It was a good run, but Stayton unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak dating back to last season on Friday. They fell just short of the Creswell Bulldogs by a score of 57-54. The loss was the Eagles' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Stayton fell to 5-1. As for Creswell, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Stayton and Newport will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Creswell will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Cascade Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Creswell's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
