Eagle faced Middleton in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. Neither the Mustangs nor the Vikings could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. Eagle's defeat put an end to their three-game winning streak.

Eagle's draw gives them a new season record of 8-4-1. Meanwhile, Middleton's record is now 9-2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Eagle is set to square off against their familiar foe Centennial at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Middleton will take on their in-conference opponent Timberline at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
