Basketball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Fredonia

It's playoff time, and Fredonia had no trouble coming through when it counted. They strolled past the Baxter Springs Lions with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 73-57. The victory was familiar territory for the Yellowjackets, who have now won three games in a row.

Fredonia's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ashton Oneal, who posted 13 points in addition to six assists and six boards. The dominant performance also gave Oneal a new career-high in blocks (two). Kamden Barnett was another key player, putting up 13 points along with seven assists and five steals.

Fredonia pushed their record up to 14-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.3 points over those games. As for Baxter Springs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14-1 record this season.
