Soccer Game Preview: West Jordan vs. Hunter

For the first time this season, West Jordan will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will host the Hunter Wolverines at 5:30 p.m. Hunter took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on West Jordan, who comes in off a win.

West Jordan gave up the first goal last Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was West Jordan who was credited with the victory. West Jordan got it done in the shootout by posting six goals to Hillcrest's five. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jaguars.

Hunter is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stansbury.

Hunter's goal came courtesy of Kallin Banza, which was the first he's scored this season.

Hunter's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for West Jordan, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

West Jordan might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Hunter when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can West Jordan avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
