After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Highland, Campo Verde was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Mountain Pointe Pride by a score of 6-2. The Coyotes haven't had any issues with the Pride recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Addyson Armstrong spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Amaya Hernandez was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-5. Brooklyn Giefski was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.

Hernandez wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Campo Verde kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The Coyotes are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Campo Verde's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-13. As for Mountain Pointe, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9-1 record this season.

Campo Verde will have a chance to go back-to-back against Mountain Pointe: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
