Volleyball Recap: Wilmot Comes Up Short

Wilmot and Lakeside Lutheran squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Wilmot had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 20-25, 25-23, 25-13.

Macy Kuper paced Wilmot's offense, picking up 13 kills. Kuper got some help from Elizabeth Johnson and her 16 assists. Johnson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Wilmot's loss dropped their record down to 8-20. As for Lakeside Lutheran, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 16-22.

Wilmot does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lakeside Lutheran, they will face off against Kettle Moraine Lutheran at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Chargers have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
