Basketball Recap: Branchville Yellow Jackets vs. Baptist Hill Bobcats
After flying high against Lowcountry Leadership last Friday, Branchville came back down to earth. The Branchville Yellow Jackets fell to the Baptist Hill Bobcats 55-49.
Despite the loss, Branchville still got an impressive performance from Kyran Glover, who posted 14 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Felder, who made all 5 shots he took to post 10 points.
Baptist Hill's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Martrell Wright, who almost dropped a triple-double on 13 points, nine boards, and ten assists. That's the most assists Wright has posted since back in December of 2024. Jaden Douglas was another key player, putting up eight points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Branchville's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Baptist Hill, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Branchville will square off against Charleston Math & Science at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Baptist Hill, they will challenge Lowcountry Leadership at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
