Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Teutopolis couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 48-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Althoff Catholic Crusaders on Monday. The Wooden Shoes' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Dierre Hill Jr continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Althoff Catholic, going 7-for-12 en route to 21 points and five boards. Hill Jr's big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Luke Smith, who posted four points and four steals.

Teutopolis' loss dropped their record down to 24-11. As for Althoff Catholic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 30-5 record this season.

Teutopolis does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Althoff Catholic, they will take on Christ the King at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Christ the King comes in on 13 and Althoff Catholic on five.
