Recap: Bryant Hornets vs. Little Rock Southwest Gryphons

The Bryant Hornets waltzed into their game on Friday with 24 straight wins but they left with 25. They strolled past Little Rock Southwest with points to spare, taking the game 72-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Bryant's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rj Young, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Young has scored all season. Trent Ford was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with two steals.

Bryant pushed their record up to 25-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Little Rock Southwest, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record this season.

Bryant will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Cabot at 7:30 p.m. As for Little Rock Southwest, they will head out on the road to take on Jonesboro at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Little Rock Southwest will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arkansas Rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Jonesboro is ranked 20th).
